Most guests heading for Courchevel land at Geneva rather than the altiport, and the airport straddles the French border, so the transfer begins the moment you reach arrivals. The chauffeur is there with a name sign, having followed the flight in; skis and cases go into an E-Class or a V-Class, and the fare agreed beforehand is the fare paid.
The road runs A40 then A41 from Geneva towards Annecy and Albertville, then the N90 up the Tarentaise to Moûtiers, where every Three Valleys transfer converges — on Saturday changeover the queue builds from mid-morning. From Moûtiers at 480 m the D915 climbs 20 km of steep switchbacks to Courchevel 1850, on winter tyres, with chains carried.

Tips for this route
- Saturday is changeover day for the whole Three Valleys and Moûtiers backs up from around ten in the morning. A landing before 09:00, or after 17:00, usually saves the best part of an hour on the valley floor.
- Courchevel is four villages on one road — Le Praz 1300, Village 1550, Moriond 1650 and 1850. Give us the level along with the chalet or hotel name; the final hairpins differ and it saves a wrong turn at altitude.
- Keep jacket, gloves and anything needed for the first evening in the cabin rather than buried in the hold pile. Moûtiers up to 1850 is 20 km of switchbacks, and there is rarely a good place to stop and open the boot.
- The weeks either side of New Year and February half-term fill first. Book those ahead; free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure means an early booking costs nothing if the plans change.
